Mak Kamenica

Mak Kamenica is the Deputy Chief of Party of the USAID Energy Investment Activity - EIA project in Bosnia and Herzegovina. His previous experience includes being the Deputy Chief of Party of the four-year USAID Enterprise Energy Efficiency – 3E Project that assisted BiH to promote energy efficiency technologies and practices by developing demonstration projects in public and private buildings in BiH.

From 2009 to 2010, Mr. Kamenica was a Fulbright Visiting Scholar at the New York Institute of Technology, doing research on energy efficiency and renewable energy for his Masters thesis. In addition, during his time in New York, Mr. Kamenica was an Advisor/Intern at the Mission of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the United Nations in New York and monitored the Second Committee of the UN General Assembly on issues that concern energy efficiency, climate change, environment and sustainability. From 2008 to 2009, he worked as a System Automation Engineer at Energoinvest, a Sarajevo-based engineering company where he worked on substation automation projects. Mr. Kamenica holds a B.S. in Electrical Power Engineering from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering - University of Sarajevo, a certificate in Business Project Management from the School of Continuing and Professional Studies - New York University, and is currently finishing his Masters Degree in Electrical Power Engineering at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering - University of Sarajevo.
