From 4 to 6 September in Krynice near Krakow in Poland, the 22nd Economic Forum was held.
This is the largest economic forum in Central and Eastern Europe, in which each year 2,500 leaders from the worlds of politics, economics, the non-governmental sector, and more than 500 journalists participate.
Some of the participants in the Forum are Vojtech Belling, Czech Minister of Foreign and European Affairs; Reiner Martin from the European Central Bank; Mario Baldassari, Senator and President of the Financial Board of the Italian Parliament; Andrej Bogdanovic, President of the Democratic Party of Russia; Ivan Miklos, Slovak Minister of Finance; Petr Poroschenk, Minister for Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine; Peter Chase, Director of the European-American Chamber of Commerce; Miroslav Lajcak, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovakia; Vinkele Inze, Latvian Minister of Social Affairs; Mark Le Gross Allen, IMF Regional Representative; Alastair Teare, Deloitte Director for Central Europe; Olaf Boehnke, Director of the Berlin office of the European Council on Foreign Relations; Cheng Siwei, Chairman of the International Economic Forum of China; and Mirek Topolanek, former Prime Minister of the Czech Republic.
General media sponsor of the Economic Forum is Bloomberg TV from the US, and Oslobodjenje attained the status of strategic media partner of the 22nd Economic Forum in Poland from BiH.
Minister from the Republika Srpska government Zeljka Cvijanovic was also invited to the Forum, but because of prior engagements she could not accept participation in the Forum.
